FOR SCHOOLS, BOARDS & DISTRICTS
Bring your school’s review requirements to the conversation. These are useful areas to discuss before adopting a learning platform.
Review how learners access the platform, how accounts are managed and what information is involved in your setup.
Ask about information processed during platform use, access to that information, retention and deletion procedures.
Discuss hosting arrangements and any supporting services relevant to your school’s data requirements.
Review accessibility needs, supported devices and any sign-in or learning-management integrations your school requires.
Not requiring student personal information does not mean a platform processes no data. Hosting location is also only one part of a school’s privacy review. Contact us to discuss your specific requirements.

No. Smash does not require students to provide personally identifiable information to use the platform.
The Privacy Policy explains educational data such as activities, progress and oral recordings, technical information needed to operate the platform, and adult account or billing details. It also describes optional identifiers, access, retention and deletion.
Read the Privacy PolicyContact Smash before your subscription ends to discuss any report or record needs. Student accounts and associated learning data are deleted from active systems annually in August; earlier deletion can be requested through the school. Protected backups follow the regular retention schedule, and any agreed requirements are set out in your school’s agreement.
Privacy & TrustIn Canada. If your school needs more detail about hosting or supporting services, contact the Smash team as part of your review.
Hosting location is one factor. Your school should also review its requirements for accounts, data handling, retention, security and accessibility. Discuss those requirements with Smash before adoption.
